I Love Lace

Hi Dolls! Today's post will be for a look that I did a few days ago. My boyfriend and I went on a dinner date and I wanted to wear my Love Lace eyeshadow. I really like this color because it's different, something that I do not have and I rarely wear blue eyeshadow. I need to start wearing blue eye shadows for sure! I think it's all about finding the right color of blue.

Love Lace is a Veluxe Pearl finish and I really packed it on my lid with my 239. Another great brush that is comparable to a 239 brush is a Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop in 3/8. I bought mine at Michael's which is an arts and craft store in case no one knows what Michael's is. The 3/8 Loew Cornell brush is inexpensive and I highly recommend it! I will take a picture of both brushes for my next post. On to the makeup!

Purple Power!

Hi Dolls! I'm posting a look that I did yesterday. When I started applying my foundation I was trying to think of an eye combo to wear. I first thought about Earth tone colors since I was wearing an orange shirt with a matching scarf but then once I opened up the first palette I seen, it had some purples in there. I decided to ween it and went with wearing all purples.

Purples are so vibrant and I think you can wear purple shadows with any colored top you have on. Purple shadows are fabulous! Speaking of vibrant, I just got Vibrant Grape from MAC today and I cannot wait to wear it. To me, it looks like it can be Stars n' Rockets sister, hehe! Both of the colors are a purplely-pink and are so awesome!

Now for the pictures, it may look like my right eyelashes are curled and my left eyelashes look straight. I promised I curled both of my lashes but for some reason it looks like only my right lashes are curled lol. Please excuse my hair. It was humid yesterday and my hair is a bit frizzy.

Products used (All MAC unless otherwise stated)
- Studio Fix Fluid in NC30
- Prep and Prime Powder
- All's Good Beauty Powder Blush
- MSF Perfect Topping
- Painterly Paint Pot
- Ricepaper as highlight
- Shale and Beautiful Iris mixed together on lid
- Beautiful Iris inner lid
- Blackberry crease
- Sketch outer corner
- Blacktrack Fluidline
- Cover Girl Lashblast in Blackest Black
- Strawberry Chapstick

- Here is a shot of my eyes! Yay for purple eyeshadows!

A small MAC haul

Hi Dolls!
I know I'm a little late with this haul but its better late than never, right? Hehe. I picked up items from All Ages, All Races, All Sexes and Lillyland collections. Lately, I've been into neutral colors and strong contoured cheekbones which totally reminds me of makeup from the 90s and that's why I'm so excited about All Ages, All Races, All Sexes. Makeup from the 90s makes me think of Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford being on the covers of high fashion magazines with strong cheek bones, strong brows and soft neutral eyes. The colors are so pretty. Don't get me wrong, I love bright colors too but there's just something about neutrals. Today I did an eye combo with Cross-Cultural and Showstopper which are two of the shadows I bought from the collection and got a few compliments while I was out shopping. I almost want to buy back ups for my kit.

From the Lillyland collection, I bought a creme blush and a powder. I'm in love! I wore the cream blush today and it lasted all day long. The powder gave me a nice glow with a touch of shimmer. Below is a picture of the haul!

- Face Powder in Pearlmatte
- Cremeblend Blush in Joie-De-Vivre
- Beauty Powder Blush in All's Good
- Eyeshadow in Showstopper, Banshee, and Cross-Cultural
- Shadestick in Nurture

I thought I'd do close- ups of all the items.

-Pearlmatte

-All's Good

-Joie-De-Vivre

-Showstopper, Banshee, Cross-Cultural

-Swatches

-Nurture

Banshee on top of Nurture makes a perfect lid color. I'm going to do a look for it. Til next time! * I bought all of the products on my own.

My first bloggie blog post! / What WAS cracka-lackin!

Hi Dolls! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nicole but everyone calls me Nicki and I'm a 24 year old freelance Makeup Artist living in Phoenix, AZ. I was inspired to create a blog by other beauty bloggers out there and I wanted to join in on the beauty-blogging fun. I look forward to sharing what I've learned about makeup and hopefully making new makeup friends! If you have any questions, or wanna see what I'm up to you can email me or follow me on Twitter! 2010 is going to be a great year and I can't wait to see what awesome things it brings.

Now, on to the blog post. For about 2 months, I had thee worst hands ever! My hands were dry, cracking and I even had tiny cuts on them. Ouch! It was so bad, I was embarrassed to even show my hands. I couldn't figure out why my hands were so bad. Maybe I was washing them too much. I don't know. I tried different lotions, putting Vaseline and gloves on my hands but nothing seemed to work...Until I heard about a moisturizing cream called CeraVe. Gurl, this cream works so good. My hands feel so soft and moisturized. I've got spirit fingers now! LOL. A little goes a long way and I don't see myself using any other hand creams or lotions. Within a couple of days I noticed a huge difference so I'm sticking with this. I love it! Stay tuned for more postings!

*I bought CeraVe with my own money and was not paid to do a review on it.
